How quickly can I see a physiotherapist?
We can usually provide you with same day treatment.
How long are the appointments?
All sessions are 30 minutes long. In some instances a longer session may be required, depending on the severity of your injury or condition.
Do I need a referral?
No. Unless it is a worker's compensation or third party matter.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movement. It would be advisable to wear clothes that allow us to treat the injured area (e.g. singlets for neck/shoulder problems and shorts for leg injuries).
What can I expect on my first appointment?
The physiotherapist will conduct a thorough initial assessment, by asking a number of questions, including assessing your movement, function and pain. We will discuss with you the diagnosis, treatment plan, and likely time frames for recovery. The first session will involve hands on treatment.

Should I bring anything else?
If you have relevant X-rays, scans and other medical reports, bring them to assist in the initial assessment.
How many sessions of treatment will I need?
As every injury and every patient is different, an estimated treatment length will be given after the first treatment depending on how the patient has responded to treatment. As long as the patient follows the treatment and exercise plan, there should not be a delay in recovery time.
Do you have HICAPS?
Yes, bring along your health fund card for immediate claims.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, but only from patients who are eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program. Please ask your GP if you are eligible for this.
What happens if I wish to cancel my appointment?
It is advisable that more than 24 hours notice be given, due to our cancellation policy in place. If less than 24 hours notice is given for a cancellation, a cancellation fee of $80 will be charged. This is because a cancellation without notice is to the detriment of other patients who require urgent treatment and may be on a waiting list for an appointment.
